Many of us have gifts and talents, but we don’t use them or, if we do, we don’t use them in their entirety. Pay attention if you do not know a person who seems common but is at the same time super successful. Why do you think this person got there? It wasn’t just because of his talents; this person got there because he is persistent. Persistence and success go together. The 30th President of the USA has a well-known phrase that explains his view on this aspect; Calvin Coolidge realized the importance of persistence and included this phrase in one of his speeches; “Nothing in the world can replace persistence. Talent does not; Nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius does not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education does not; then, the world is full of educated abandoned people. Persistence and determination, alone, are omnipotent.”. Have you realized the importance of persistence in your life?
